This project comprised the demolition of an existing building followed by the construction of a larger building, linking the main school and nursery buildings.

The project included the demolition of a single storey building, structural alterations to accept the new extension, mass pour foundations, a ground bearing RC slab, brickwork & blockwork walls to the rear of the building as well as roofing works.

To enable the school and nursery buildings to be fully operational, all drainage modifications, service diversions and service connections were completed within the summer break.

The scope also included the external works which comprised of a new ramp, brickwork retaining wall, surface water drainage channels and tarmac works.

Access through the school was restricted so a temporary haul road was constructed leading from an adjacent housing estate.

The value was £550,000 and the programme was 26 weeks.
